Earl Eugene Black, 66, of Looker Mountain Trail, Rixford, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026, at his residence, after a brief illness.

Born October 14, 1959, in Bradford, he was the son of the late Frederick L. Black, and Joyce A. (Hibbard) Black who survives.

Earl was a 1977 graduate of Bradford High School. While in high school he worked at the Bradford Area School District Bus garage. This is where he learned his mechanic skills. He also worked at several area dealerships and car garages in the Bradford area. Prior to his retirement he worked at Pitt Corning in Port Allegany. Earl was also a handyman for area families.

Surviving in addition to his mother Joyce Black of Bradford, is one daughter, AbbyGayle A. Koch of Alma NY, several grandchildren, including Alaina Koch and Alexzander Koch, two sisters, Phyllis Peters, of Smethport, and Patricia Campbell, of Allegany, NY, two brothers, James Black of Holley NY, and William Black of Bradford, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Black, and one son, Eric Black.

Private funeral services will be held for his family at McKean Memorial Park Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
