Jane I Figula (JIF) of Bradford, passed away Sunday September 13, 2026, at Doey's House in Hagerstown MD, with her loving family by her side.
Born June 28, 1947, in Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Blaine Bartlebaugh and Jane (Grove) Bartlebaugh-Barnes.
On July 24, 1965, in Limestone NY, she married Michael J. Figula Jr. who preceded her in death on April 23, 2011.
Jane graduated from Bradford Area High School and spent countless hours as a Candy Striper at Bradford Hospital. She worked/Co-owned Jane's Restaurant on Kennedy Street in Bradford, with her mother. She was also employed at Certified Traffic in Andover, NY. She worked for several years at the Corning Glass in Bradford, before finally retiring from Zippo Manufacturing.
Surviving is one daughter, Pamela Figula of Hagerstown MD, one daughter-in-law Valerie Figula, of Bradford, one sister, Betty K. Stady (Brad Crittenden) of Bradford, two sisters-in-law, Barb Bartlebaugh, of Bradford, and Cathy Bartlebaugh of Mississippi, one half-brother, Eddy Bartlebaugh, one half-sister Kitty Bartlebaugh, one step-sister, Debbie Cummins, six grandchildren, Derec Smith, Alec Smith, Kyle Smith, Andrew Figula, Daniel Figula, and Philip Figula, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews which always put a smile on her face. Finally, her grand puppy Sunny “Pretty girl” who brought her great enjoyment.
Jane spent a lot of time over the years with her best friends, Nechia Austin and Beatrice Clark. Jane and Mike were members of the Bob-A-Lees Square Dance Club of Bradford. She loved to sew and make all their square dance outfits; she also enjoyed gardening and trying new recipes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J Figula Jr., one son, Joseph Figula, two brothers, Duane Bartlebaugh, Donald Bartlebaugh and one nephew Steven “Stevie Wonder” Bartlebaugh.
Friends will be invited to attend a Celebration of Jane’s Life at a later date which will be announced.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
